Lauren London Keeping ''Head High'' 1 Week After Nipsey Hussle's Death - E! Online

Nipsey Hussle's family is finding peace a week after his death.

In a new interview with the Los Angeles Times, the loved ones of the famed rapper, whose birth name is Ermias Joseph Asghedom, are revealing how they are feeling over a week after his unexpected death.

His girlfriend, Lauren London, continues to mourn his death, but tells the publication, "I'm going to keep my head high and always represent for my king to the fullest." She adds that she will always remember the rapper, who she dated for nearly six years, as the most upstanding man.

"He was a protector and wanted us to be our best at all times," Lauren says. "He was a truth seeker and truth speaker... He loved his kids. He was a family man. His family came first."

Meanwhile, his mother and father seem to have already come to terms with his death, despite the horrific nature of his killing. His mother, Angelique Smith, even says she is at "perfect peace."

"[God] sent him to send a message. It looks like, ‘Your time is up because you have completed what I sent you to do.' We all have a plan, but God has his own plan," his father, Dawit Asghedom, adds. "So he had completed what he needed to be doing and he did it early so [God] probably want to take him early too."

While the star's murder has gripped the public, his mother says she wants Ermias to be remembered as a "humble, spirited, respectful man who had, since his childhood, had an extraordinary and unlimited intellectual capacity," rather than a victim.

And even though one would expect the family to be angry over his death, they are instead encouraging mourners to remember the rapper's lyrics about letting love "bring us together." His father says, "It was like he was sent by God to give some love to bring us together because that's what his lyrics were saying, always."

Likewise, his brother Samiel Asghedom is remembering the artist for his ability to bring people together. "There's a lot of politics within the area that we grew up in, but he stayed the course and showed what he was about," Samiel shares. "He made something work in an area that was run-down, that people were scared to come to, and he turned it into a landmark."

William H. Macy spotted in public for first time after Felicity Huffman's guilty plea - Fox News

"Shameless" star William H. Macy was straight-faced as he hopped on his motorcycle Monday — just as his wife, Felicity Huffman, agreed to plead guilty in the college admission cheating scam and announced that she had "deep regret" and "shame" over what she had done.

The 69-year-old actor was spotted wearing dark pants, a white button-down shirt and shades as he walked outside of Los Angeles' Century City Mall after his wife released an apology, according to People. Paparazzi images, which were obtained by the magazine, show Macy traveling through a parking garage before speeding off on his bike Monday afternoon.

Before hitting the road, Macy covered up in a brown jacket, riding gloves and a white helmet.

WILLIAM H. MACY'S 'BEST ADVICE' BEFORE FELICITY HUFFMAN'S ARREST IN ALLEGED COLLEGE ADMISSIONS SCAM RESURFACES

Many social media users were quick to speculate about his state of mind at that moment.

"He looks stressed," one Twitter user observed.

"Please be kind," another pleaded.

"He doesn’t seem warm and fuzzy. Prob doesn’t really phase him about her sitch. Sadly," a third user claimed.

The Department of Justice revealed on Monday that Huffman was one of 11 defendants, who was charged with one count of conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud and agreed to plead guilty pursuant to plea agreements.

Huffman was accused of paying $15,000 disguised as a charitable donation so her daughter could take part in an apparently rigged college entrance exam. Court documents stated that a cooperating witness met with Huffman and Macy at their Los Angeles home and explained to them that he "controlled" a testing center and could have someone secretly alter her daughter's answers. The person told investigators the couple agreed to the plan. Macy has not been charged in the alleged scheme.

In an emotional — and lengthy — statement on Monday, Huffman expressed regret over her actions.

"I am ashamed of the pain I have caused my daughter, my family, my friends, my colleagues and the educational community. I want to apologize to them and, especially, I want to apologize to the students who work hard every day to get into college, and to their parents who make tremendous sacrifices to support their children and do so honestly," she said, in part.

Though Macy was never charged in the nationwide scandal, many fans have still criticized him — while digging up some of his past comments.

His responses to a series of random questions asked during an interview with Men's Journal began to resurface in early March.

During the interview, Macy was asked to share the "best advice" he's ever received.

"Never lie. It’s the cheapest way to go. Lies cost you a lot, and they’re never worth what they cost," Macy told Men's Journal at the time.

Loughlin, husband and 14 parents face new charge in scam - The Associated Press

BOSTON (AP) — “Full House” star Lori Loughlin and her fashion designer husband, Mossimo Giannulli, and 14 other parents were hit Tuesday with a new money laundering charge in the sweeping college admissions bribery scheme.

The move comes a day after fellow actress Felicity Huffman, 12 other parents and a coach agreed to plead guilty — signaling an escalation in the case against the parents who are continuing to fight the allegations against them.

Loughlin and Giannulli were among 33 prominent parents accused of participating in a scheme that involved rigging college entrance exams and bribing coaches at elite universities.

They were arrested last month on a single charge of conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud. An indictment brought Tuesday adds a charge of money laundering conspiracy against the couple and 14 other parents.

Amy and Gregory Colburn, a California couple accused of paying $25,000 to cheat on their son’s SAT, were indicted on the money laundering and mail fraud conspiracy charges last month.

The parents are accused of paying an admissions consultant, Rick Singer, to cheat on their children’s college entrance exams and get their children admitted as athletic recruits at such elite schools as Georgetown and Yale.

Loughlin and Giannulli are accused of paying $500,000 in bribes to get their daughters into the University of Southern California as crew team recruits, even though neither of them played the sport.

They appeared in Boston federal court briefly last week and were not asked to enter a plea. They have not publicly addressed the allegations against them.

Other parents indicted on the new charge Tuesday include Michelle Janavs, whose family developed the microwave snack line Hot Pockets before selling their company, and William McGlashan, who co-founded an investment fund with U2′s Bono in 2017.

Huffman, the 56-year-old Emmy-winner who stared in ABC’s “Desperate Housewives,” was accused of paying $15,000 disguised as a charitable donation to have a proctor correct the answers on her daughter’s SAT. She and the 12 other parents agreed to plead guilty Monday to a single charge of conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud.

Prosecutors say they will seek a prison sentence that’s on the low end of between four and 10 months for Huffman.

In her first public comments since her arrest, Huffman took responsibility for her actions and said she would accept the consequences.

“My daughter knew absolutely nothing about my actions, and in my misguided and profoundly wrong way, I have betrayed her. This transgression toward her and the public I will carry for the rest of my life. My desire to help my daughter is no excuse to break the law or engage in dishonesty,” she said after her plea deal was announced.

Lori Loughlin Faces New Charge in College Admissions Scandal - The New York Times

Federal prosecutors indicted the Hollywood actress Lori Loughlin and her husband, the designer Mossimo Giannulli, along with 14 other parents on mail fraud and money laundering charges on Tuesday, the latest development in the sweeping college admissions fraud investigation.

Thirteen of the 33 parents originally charged in the case have agreed to plead guilty, and it was expected that prosecutors would move soon to indict most of the other parents in the case. It was also expected that, in indicting them, they would add an additional charge, of money laundering conspiracy.

Ms. Loughlin and her husband are accused of conspiring with a college consultant, Wiliam Singer, to pay $500,000 in bribes to get their daughters admitted to the University of Southern California as recruits to the women’s crew team, even though neither of the girls actually participated in the sport. Ms. Loughlin, best known for her role as “Aunt Becky” on the television show “Full House,” has already suffered some professional consequences of the charges. The Hallmark Channel said that it would stop development of shows that feature her.

Her daughters, both current students at U.S.C., have also faced repercussions, as U.S.C. has placed an academic hold on students tied to the scandal, preventing them from registering for classes.

Most of the parents in the case, including Ms. Loughlin and Mr. Giannulli, were originally charged in a criminal complaint with conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud. Prosecutors had a limited period of time in which to formally indict them or the complaint would be dismissed.

The "Fuller House" star and her husband, along with 14 other parents, were charged in Boston Tuesday in a "second superseding indictment with conspiring to commit fraud and money laundering," the Department of Justice told Fox News.

Loughlin and Giannulli were charged last month with conspiracy to commit mail fraud. The new indictment on Tuesday adds a money laundering charge to all 16 defendants.

A rep for Loughlin did not immediately return Fox News' request for comment. They appeared in Boston federal court briefly last week and were not asked to enter a plea. The couple has not publicly commented on the allegations.

More than four dozen people have been charged in the nationwide scam, which is alleged to have placed students in top-tier schools like Yale, Georgetown, Stanford, the University of Southern California, UCLA and the University of Texas. A federal investigation into the matter – dubbed "Operation Varsity Blues" – has been ongoing for more than a year.

On Monday, the "Desperate Housewives" actress announced her decision to plead guilty, explaining that she accepts "full responsibility" for her actions.

"I am pleading guilty to the charge brought against me by the United States Attorney's Office," the "Desperate Housewives" alum said in a statement obtained by Fox News.

"I am in full acceptance of my guilt, and with deep regret and shame over what I have done, I accept full responsibility for my actions and will accept the consequences that stem from those actions," Huffman continued. "I am ashamed of the pain I have caused my daughter, my family, my friends, my colleagues and the educational community. "We're thrilled to celebrate the anniversary of 'Nashville Skyline' with our own addition to Music City's skyline," said Heaven’s Door Spirits CEO Marc Bushala in a press release, making a reference to Dylan’s “Nashville Skyline” album, released on April 9, 1969.

The distillery is also planning to set up shop in the downtown SoBro (south of Broadway) neighborhood, inside the old Elm Street Methodist Church the corner of Elm and 5th Avenue, which was originally built in 1871, The Tennessean reports.

"Nashville is the natural home for the Heaven's Door distillery and the Elm Street Church is a fitting home for Dylan's visual artwork,” added Bushala. “We spent years looking for a property that truly captures the essence of the Heaven's Door brand, and when we finally found the deconsecrated church in SoBro, we immediately knew that it would be the perfect physical and spiritual center for the brand, and Bob's art."

In addition to its distilling facilities and housing Dylan’s metalwork sculptures and paintings, the space will house a restaurant, a “whiskey library” and a 360-seat performance venue, according to a press release.

Dylan and Bushala originally announced their collaboration on Heaven’s Door Spirits in April 2018, along with three inaugural whiskeys including a Tennessee Bourbon, a Double Barrel Whiskey and a Straight Rye Whiskey. A Tennessee Bourbon “limited 10-year release” has since been added to the collection.

There were also plans for a second collection, to be called “The Bootleg Series,” to debut sometime in 2019.

“I’ve been traveling for decades, and I’ve been able to try some of the best spirits that the world of whiskey has to offer,” Dylan remarked to The New York Times in April 2018. “This is great whiskey.”

Breaking News

4/9 9:35 AM PT -- Coweta Co. Sheriff's office just released a photo of the gun, weed, and cash cops say they recovered from the car Boosie was driving.

4/9 -- We previously reported the Antonio Allen arrested with Boosie was a former NFL player with the Jets. That was incorrect ... it's a different Antonio Allen. Boosie has been busted on drug and gun charges following a traffic stop in Georgia ... TMZ has confirmed.

According to online court records, the rapper and another man, named Antonio Allen are currently being held in the Coweta County Jail. Boosie and Allen are each facing marijuana and narcotics possession charges, plus another charge for possession of a firearm.

Boosie and Allen were reportedly stopped by police Monday afternoon after an officer observed a white Dodge Charger swerving lanes and nearly sideswiping another vehicle ... and cops say Boosie was driving the car, which reeked of weed.

Police reportedly searched the vehicle and found a bag of marijuana and a loaded 9mm handgun under the passenger seat, where Allen was sitting. Investigators also say they found a bag of cash, plus a vape pen.

Boosie has gone to jail for drug charges before ... he was locked up in Louisiana in 2009 on a marijuana charge, and then got busted trying to smuggle drugs into prison and served more time. He was released in 2014 and had been on parole until 2018.
