New Lion King trailer shows off the talking animals - Polygon

The first full trailer for The Lion King finally has the animals talking.

Yes, yes, we know it’s not technically a live-action remake, but instead a remake using photorealistic CG animation to simulate a live-action feel. The first trailer for The Lion King mirrored the opening sequence of the original traditionally animated film, with the iconic “Circle of Life” soaring above the magnificent sunrise.

But this new trailer gives us more of the action. While Mufasa (voiced once again by James Earl Jones) had some voice-over lines in the first teaser, we finally get to see some of the other characters talk on screen. And it’s interesting.

The star-studded voice cast includes Donald Glover as Simba, BEYONCE as Nala, Seth Rogen as Pumba, and Billy Eichner as Timon. Did we mention Beyoncé as Nala? Because, Beyoncé is Nala.

The Lion King is one of four adaptations of classic Disney animated movies out this year. The film will arrive in theaters on July 19 — just after the original’s 25h

Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin are dealing with college cheating scandal in different ways - CNN

Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman make court appearances in college admissions scandal
Huffman and Loughlin are among 33 parents accused of using their wealth to cheat on standardized tests for their children, and bribe college administrators and coaches who had major clout when it came to admissions.
The investigation took a crucial turn Monday when Huffman and a dozen other parents and one coach agreed to plead guilty to mail fraud and other forms of bribery, highlighting the separate actions both women have taken since the scandal broke.
Here are the different ways the actresses have dealt with the fallout:

Felicity Huffman

What is she accused of?
Huffman has agreed to plead guilty to paying $15,000 to a fake charity associated with Rick Singer to facilitate cheating for her daughter on the SATs. Singer ran a college prep business, and helped wealthy parents cheat on standardized tests for their children. He also bribed college coaches to designate children falsely as recruited athletes, smoothing their path to admission, a criminal complaint says.
Felicity Huffman's Netflix film won't release in April as scheduled
Huffman and Singer exchanged emails about how to get extra time on her daughter's SAT, the complaint says. They arranged for Huffman's daughter to take the SAT at a location controlled by an administrator bribed by Singer, the complaint says. The daughter got a score of 1420 out of a maximum 1600 on the SAT, about 400 points over her Preliminary SAT exam a year earlier.
Does she plan to plead guilty?
As a result, federal prosecutors will recommend incarceration at the "low end" of the sentencing range, a $20,000 fine and 12 months of supervised release, according to a plea agreement. Prosecutors recommended a range of sentences for those pleading guilty, from 12 to 18 months. A federal judge will have the final say on the outcome for Huffman and the other defendants.
In addition to lower sentencing, prosecutors will not bring further charges, the plea agreement says.
What has she said about the alleged scandal?
She issued an apology and took responsibility for her actions, saying her daughter was not aware of the payment. She said she had betrayed her daughter and wouldn't make any excuses for breaking the law.
"I am in full acceptance of my guilt, and with deep regret and shame over what I have done ... and will accept the consequences that stem from those actions," she said in a statement.
"I am ashamed of the pain I have caused my daughter, my family, my friends, my colleagues and the educational community. I want to apologize to them and, especially, I want to apologize to the students who work hard every day to get into college, and to their parents who make tremendous sacrifices to support their children and do so honestly."
Felicity Huffman will plead guilty to paying $15,000 to facilitate cheating for her daughter on the SAT.
How much prison time is she facing?
It's unclear whether a guilty plea will mean no time in prison. Prosecutors have said they will be asking for jail time for all defendants, according to a law enforcement official with knowledge of the investigation. The defendants are facing anywhere between six to 21 months in prison if convicted or if they plead guilty, but the exact sentence will depend on several factors, the official added.
Has the fallout affected her acting career?
A Netflix comedy film starring Huffman won't be hitting the streaming platform on April 26, its previously scheduled release date.
"Otherhood" is about three mothers who move from the suburbs to New York so they can reconnect with their children. While it is not uncommon for film release dates to shift, news of the film's pushback came a day after the "Desperate Housewives" and "American Crime" actress entered her plea in the college admissions scam.

Lori Loughlin

What is she accused of?
Loughlin and her husband, fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, are accused of paying $500,000 to a fake charity to get their two daughters into the University of Southern California as crew recruits. Their daughters did not participate in the sport.
Does she plan to plead guilty?
The couple appeared last week in federal court in Boston, but they have not publicly indicated how they plan to plead.
Loughlin and 15 other parents now face an additional charge of money laundering in addition to last month's charges of conspiracy to commit fraud. They were charged Tuesday in a superseding indictment with conspiring to launder bribes and other payments through Singer's charity, prosecutors said.
The added charges came a day after Huffman and others agreed to plead guilty in the case.
Lori Loughlin and her husband are accused of paying $500,000 to get their daughters into USC.
What has she said about the alleged scandal?
Not much. Late last month, the actress was caught on video by paparazzi in Los Angeles and said she was sorry, but she couldn't talk about her legal issues.
"You can follow me around all day if you want, but I just can't comment right now," Loughlin said. "But thank you for your time."
How much prison time is she facing?
The charges of conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud are punishable by a maximum 20 years in prison, three years of supervised release and a fine of $250,000 or twice the gross gain or loss, whichever is greater. The charge of conspiracy to commit money laundering is punishable by a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison, according to federal officials.
Has the fallout affected her acting career?
The "Full House" actress was dropped by the Hallmark Channel and other brands in the wake of last month's charges. Sephora also ended a makeup partnership with her daughter, the social media influencer Olivia Jade, who was a student at USC.

Warner Bros takes legal action against President Trump over 2020 campaign video - CNBC

President Donald Trump's latest 2020 campaign video has been removed from his Twitter page after Warner Bros. announced it would take legal action over the unauthorized use of music in the clip.

"The use of Warner Bros.' score from 'The Dark Knight Rises' in the campaign video was unauthorized. We are working through the appropriate legal channels to have it removed," a spokesperson from Warner Bros. told CNBC via email Wednesday.

The video, shared by Trump's official Twitter account, has now been replaced with a message that reads: "This media has been disabled in response to a report by the copyright owner."

Hans Zimmer's "Why Do we Fall?" from the 2012 movie was featured in the video, which also mimicked the font used for the movie's title cards, according to media reports.

"First they ignore you. Then they laugh at you. Then they call you a racist. Donald J. Trump. Your vote. Proved them all wrong. Trump: The Great Victory. 2020," messages written in the font said.

The video had been viewed more than 2.3 million times by the time it was removed, according to NBC News.

CNBC reached out to The White House on Wednesday but a comment wasn't immediately available.

Trump's video tweet using Batman music removed due to copyright - BBC News

President Trump has had a video removed from Twitter because it unlawfully used the music from a Batman film.

The two-minute promotional video for his 2020 campaign used Hans Zimmer's track Why Do We Fall? from The Dark Knight Rises without requesting copyright from Warner Bros Pictures.

It was removed on Tuesday evening, hours after the video was posted on Mr Trump's account.

Over a million people had already seen the video before it was taken down.

It opened with images of Democrats including Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, followed by text that read: "First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they call you racist."

Then came video of key moments in Mr Trump's time as president, such as meeting North Korea's leader Kim Jong-un, the confirmation of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh and the Robert Mueller investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election.

The video ended with a message saying "your vote proved them all wrong" and called the 2020 re-election "the great victory".

"The use of Warner Bros.' score from The Dark Knight Rises' in the campaign video was unauthorised," the company confirmed in a statement, before Twitter removed the video. "We are working through the appropriate legal channels to have it removed."

The video was then removed and replaced with a message saying: "This media has been disabled in response to a report by the copyright owner."

It is not the first time Mr Trump has been challenged over his use of artists' music.

In October, both Pharrell Williams and Prince's estate demanded that President Trump stop using the singers' music at political events.

Rihanna sent a cease and desist letter to Mr Trump after he used her track Don't Stop the Music at political events.

Steve Tyler from Aerosmith also complained when the president played the band's hit Living' On The Edge.

  • A video posted by President Donald Trump that uses music from Batman movie "The Dark Knight Rises" has been taken down.
  • It was removed after Warner Bros. Pictures filed a copyright infringement complaint over the video, BuzzFeed News reported.
  • A spokesperson told BuzzFeed News that the use of the music, composed for the 2012 film, was "unauthorized."
  • The video showed prominent Democrats and celebrities with the text: "First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they call you racist."

A video shared by President Donald Trump featuring music from Batman movie "The Dark Knight Rises" has been taken down, reportedly after a copyright claim from Warner Bros.

BuzzFeed News reported that Warner Bros. Pictures filed a copyright infringement complaint over the video, which Trump shared on Twitter on Tuesday with the caption "MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!"

The video, which was seemingly released as part of Trump's 2020 re-election campaign can no longer be played on Twitter, and has been replaced by a copyright notice. The notice reads: "This media has been disabled in response to a report by the copyright owner."

The video in question, which had no voiceover or dialogue, showed Democratic figures like Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, as well as prominent Democrat-backing celebrities like actor Bryan Cranston, and comedian and actress Amy Schumer.

At one point in the roughly two minutes long video, text is displayed, reading: "First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they call you racist."

In a statement on Tuesday night — seemingly given prior to the video being taken down — a Warner Bros. spokesperson told BuzzFeed News that the use of the music was "unauthorized," and that the company was working to have it removed from social media.

"The use of Warner Bros.' score from The Dark Knight Rises in the campaign video was unauthorized," they said. "We are working through the appropriate legal channels to have it removed."

The 2012 film, directed by Christopher Nolan, had orginal music by composer Hans Zimmer, who is known for his dramatic movie scores, including Inception, Gladiator, and The Lion King.

Would a Home Birth for Meghan Markle Have Serious Risks? - The Cheat Sheet

Ever since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced they were expecting a baby, the world has been eager for any and all news about the new royal baby. Markle has attracted attention for everything from her chic pregnancy style to her all-natural approach to childbirth.

While the royal couple hasn’t really revealed much to the public about their actual birth plans, a new report suggests that Meghan Markle could take a unique approach to bring her baby into the world. But, are there additional risks?

Markle prefers to keep things natural

Well before her marriage to Prince Harry, Meghan Markle was known as much for her love for health and wellness as for her acting skills. Markle likes to stick to organic foods, and reportedly keeps her and her husband’s fridge well-stocked with only the healthiest of treats. She also knows the importance of staying active, and practices yoga, which she is quite familiar with considering her mother is a yoga instructor.

Pregnancy causes many women to feel fatigued, and hardly up to the challenge of walking, much less exercising on a regular basis. Markle definitely doesn’t seem fazed by the struggles of pregnancy and has been traveling the world for her royal duties even while her baby bump grows larger and larger. Markle’s holistic approach to pregnancy includes outfitting the baby’s nursery in the finest materials, including, reportedly, eucalyptus-infused vegan paint on the walls to promote relaxation and calm.

How did Kate give birth?

While this is Meghan Markle’s first pregnancy, her sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, is a pro. The Duchess of Cambridge has given birth to three children since she’s been married to Prince William and likely has a lot of great advice for Markle about everything from the actual birth to recovery from labor.

It seems that in one way, at least, Markle’s childbirth experience could differ wildly from Middleton’s. Kate Middleton gave birth to all three of her children at St. Mary’s Hospital, in an exclusive, more private area called Lindo Wing. According to a new report, Meghan Markle is actually considering a home birth, shunning the use of the queen’s doctors to deliver her baby.

Would a home birth be safe for Markle?

Home births are a relatively popular choice in the United States and are catching on in the United Kingdom as well. They are not unprecedented in the royal family either, as Queen Elizabeth actually gave birth to her four children either at home in Buckingham Palace, or her smaller residence, Clarence House. Although home births are growing in popularity, there are still some misconceptions about the process. Many people still feel that home births are unsafe, but there are actually very minimal risks with home births, and in several ways, they can be considered safer than hospital births.

One positive aspect of home birth is the reduced risk of infection. Giving birth in a hospital setting means that the mother and baby are surrounded by hundreds of other people, some that have illnesses or other issues that could affect a compromised immune system. Home birth could mean that the mother is less stressed as she goes through labor, considering she will be in a safe, familiar place.

There are only a few situations where home birth isn’t recommended. Those situations include high-risk pregnancies, serious pregnancy complications, or when the mother is carrying multiples. Of course, if Markle decides on home birth and ends up having complications during labor, she would immediately be transferred to a hospital for close monitoring. Ultimately, many women choose home births because they want to have more freedom in their childbirth journey. For someone like Meghan Markle, who is under intense public scrutiny, it makes total sense that she will want to keep her childbirth experience as private and personal as possible.

Warner Bros. to sue over Trump's use of 'The Dark Knight Rises' music: report - Fox News

Warner Bros. is reportedly planning to take legal action against the White House after President Trump tweeted a campaign video Tuesday featuring music from “The Dark Knight Rises."

The copyright infringement suit will allege that the video uses an instrumental track from the film titled “Why Do We Fall?" Variety reported.

“The use of Warner Bros.' score from ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ in the campaign video was unauthorized,” Warner Bros. said in a statement. “We are working through the appropriate legal channels to have it removed.”

The campaign video, which flows like a movie trailer, opens with aerial views of Washington, D.C. along with subtitles that read “first they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they call you racist.”

After a series of shots of Trump at rallies, descending Air Force One along with others of his critics, subtitles read, “Your vote proved them wrong.” A graphic at the end says, “Trump the great victory 2020.”

It shows clips of former President Obama, the Clintons and Trump himself at various events – all against the backdrop of the “The Dark Knight Rises”’ dramatic score. The video also uses the same font as the film's titles, Variety reported.

By 1:20 a.m. EST the video had been disabled "in response to a report by the copyright owner," Twitter wrote. Before it was removed, the video had garnered more than two million views. The White House has yet to comment on the suit.
