Charlamagne tha God called Wendy Williams to 'clear the air' - Page Six
Charlamagne tha God called Wendy Williams to make amends because their public fallout was just a big misunderstanding.
“We just had a conversation,” Charlamagne, 40, exclusively told Page Six. “I’ve always had love for Wendy and we never had a reason not to communicate.”
The host of New York’s famed radio show “The Breakfast Club” explained he stopped talking to Williams, 54, nearly 10 years ago because of her soon-to-be ex-husband, Kevin Hunter.
“Kevin told her some other reason as to why he stopped dealing with me so it’s just good to clear the air,” he told us Wednesday.
Charlamagne addressed the call on “The Breakfast Club” Thursday after Williams joked on her show that he asked her out on a date.
“It’s not a date at all,” he said. “For me, [as] someone who used to be friends with Wendy, work with Wendy, and having a front-row seat to a lot of the abuse I saw her endure, I’m just happy that she’s finally free of that stuff.”
Charlamagne denied that they spoke for four hours, but admitted that the former colleagues did talk for a “very long time.”
“I wish her the best,” he continued. “She’s got a lot of healing to do, and I’m all about healing and letting go of toxic people in your life. I think when you let go of toxic people in your life, that’s a big step in loving yourself, so I hope she keeps going.”
Despite Williams stating on her show that Charlamagne invited her to dinner, the radio host said no plans have been set yet.
In 2006, Charlamagne got his big break in radio as Williams’ sidekick on 107.5 WBLS, but the pair became estranged in 2009 due to an incident involving Hunter’s alleged mistress, Sharina Hudson.
“The reason Kevin Hunter and I fell out, and the reason why I don’t communicate with Wendy anymore is because of Sharina,” Charlamagne previously told us. “Kevin got upset because he thought Sharina liked one of my homeboys and he thought that I was hooking Sharina up [with other men].”
On April 11, Williams filed for divorce from Hunter after nearly 22 years of marriage, following a public cheating scandal and Williams’ admission in March that she checked herself into a sober house.

This is kind of Jenny's thing -- she's pretty open about the ups and downs of parenthood. Back in November, she revealed their 1-year-old, Lazlo, was bitten by a dog.
Despite the seriousness of Sid's injury ... Jenny cracked a bit of humor in her post. After thanking all the nurses, doctors, cafeteria staff and janitors at the NYC hospital where he was treated -- as well as Jason -- she said, "Not sure how this post turned into an Oscars acceptance speech."

Jenny Mollen Reveals She Dropped Her Son on His Head - E! Online

Jenny Mollen is full of gratitude.
On Wednesday, the actress, author and mother of two revealed her and Jason Biggs' firstborn son had been hospitalized over the weekend.
"On Saturday evening, I dropped my son on his head causing him to fracture his skull and landing him in the ICU," Mollen explained to fans on Instagram. "I am forever grateful to Lenox hill downtown and @nyphospital for their immediate response and aid. Thank you to all of the nurses, neurologists, pediatricians, residents, cafeteria staff and brave women that keep the visitor‘s bathrooms clean."
The star continued, "Not sure how this post turned into an Oscars acceptance speech... But @biggsjason Thank god for you! Thank god, thank god, thank god." The two have been married since 2008.
As for the 5-year-old youngster, "It has been a traumatic week but Sid is home now taking things slowly and recovering nicely," Mollen noted. "He is also eating a lot of chocolate dipped ice cream cones and plans to try cherry dipped soon."
Before signing off, the actress added a touching line to any parent who has experienced something similar. "My heart goes out to all parents who have or will ever find themselves in this kind of position. You are not alone..."
The post triggered many comments from fans wishing the mother and son well, including a comforting and comical one from comedian Molly O. Austin. "My mom dropped us a bunch. Moms be droppin! You're doing great!" she wrote to Mollen. "I'm so glad he's doing ok!
The couple welcomed their son back in February 2014. Three years later, the mom and dad became parents times two with the arrival of their second son, Lazlo, in 2017.

Cannes Film Festival 2019 Lineup: Malick, Almodovar, Dardennes; Four Women Directors In Competition – Full List - Deadline
UPDATE: The grand majority of the Cannes Film Festival lineup for 2019 was unveiled this morning in Paris with such expected names as Pedro Almodovar (Pain & Glory), Terrence Malick (A Hidden Life) and Ken Loach (Sorry We Missed You) in the mix — see below the original post for the full list. At the same time, there is still no confirmation of Quentin Tarantino’s anticipated Once Upon A Time In Hollywood — yet. Fest chief Thierry Frémaux said it’s not quite ready, but he hopes to add it. What he’s seen of the period film is “magnificent.”
Overall, there were few surprises, but among the refreshing turns here on the Champs-Elysées this morning, there are four female directors in Competition, the most of any recent year. They include Jessica Hausner’s Little Joe and Céline Sciamma’s Portrait Of A Lady On Fire.
We also learned this morning that Elton John will be on hand for the world premiere of Paramount’s Rocketman, which Deadline previously confirmed for a May 16 slot. Alfonso Cuaron will also be on the Riviera to present a restored version of Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining — and, according to Frémaux, to “hang out” with his pal Alejandro G Inarritu who is the Cannes jury president this year.

PREVIOUS, 1:57AM PT: The lineup for the 72nd Cannes Film Festival is being unveiled this morning from the UGC Normandie theater here on Paris’ Champs-Elysées. There are already a handful of titles certain to be among the Official Selection which fest chief Thierry Frémaux will announce today, while he may also have some surprises up his sleeve and is likely to hold a few tidbits back to be added over the next few weeks before the Riviera shindig kicks off on May 14.
The festival earlier announced that Jim Jarmusch’s zombie horror comedy The Dead Don’t Die, from Focus, has opening night honors, in competition. And as Deadline previously confirmed, Paramount’s Elton John musical fantasy biopic Rocketman will blast off on May 16. Alejandro G Inarritu is President of the jury this year, one that as ever, has been rife with speculation.

We do not expect to hear any Netflix or Amazon features included on the roster, marking the first time in four years without a film from either streamer. However, as Deadline has reported, at least one episode of Nicolas Winding Refn’s Amazon series Too Old To Die Young is looking at a special slot.
Perhaps the biggest question, which may not be answered this morning, is whether Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time In Hollywood is due to debut on May 21. That would mark 25 years to the day since Pulp Fiction wowed the Croisette before going on to win the Palme d’Or. The Sony title has been highly tipped to be unspooling in Cannes, but we’ll see if Frémaux gives up the goods either way today.
Elsewhere, Terrence Malick’s A Hidden Life (previously titled Radegund) is expected, as are Pedro Almodovar’s Pain & Glory, Bong Joon-ho’s Parasite and Ken Loach’s Sorry We Missed You, among many others. Céline Sciamma’s Portrait Of A Lady On Fire and Alice Winocour’s English-language Proxima have also been buzzed about.

Williams told her audience that she had a good weekend spending time with friends from her sober house. She has also been spending time with her sister. Williams revealed that she will be getting out of the sober house in a few days and that the time there has helped her evaluate every compartment of her life. She says she is busy planning the future for her and her son.
Kevin Hunter had something to say as well
Many wondered how Hunter would respond to the rumors of his infidelity and controlling behavior. The executive producer of The Wendy Williams Show finally released a statement in regards to his impending divorce.

Why does Kim Kardashian want to become a lawyer?
Kardashian recently told Vogue that she never in a million years thought she would go to law school. However, a recent experience made her become passionate about the law and look into what it would take to become a lawyer. Last year she spent a lot of time and energy fighting to get Alice Marie Johnson released from prison. Johnson spent over 20 years in jail for a non-violent drug charge. Kardashian famously visited the White House and talked to the president about Johnson’s release.
Kardashian says the experience made her satisfied with a good outcome and also made her feel out of her depth. She began to become increasingly involved with prison reform, including offering to pay rent for a recently released inmate.
The decision to become a lawyer did not come easy. After all, Kardashian has a successful media empire, numerous endorsements, and three kids at home. She says she had to think long and hard about the decision, but ultimately felt that she could do so much.
According to California law, Kardashian can skip law school
California does not require residents to attend law school to sit for the state bar, which is the test needed to become a lawyer. In fact, Virginia, Washington, and Vermont all allow residents to skip law school as well. Maine, New York, and Wyoming don’t require a law degree either, but they do require some law school before sitting for the bar.
How can someone be qualified to become a lawyer without years of law school? In the aforementioned states, citizens can choose to participate in an internship in lieu of attending law school. They must complete a set number of hours with a licensed lawyer and successfully pass the state bar. In California, those who wish to take the bar without going to law school must take the first year law students examination, also known as the “baby bar.” Kardashian recently shared pictures of her studying for her upcoming exam.
Kim Kardashian wouldn’t be the first lawyer in the family
It may seem like Kardashian’s ambition to become a lawyer has come out of nowhere, but we have to remember that her father, Robert Kardashian, was a very well known lawyer.
Many believed that Robert Kardashian and a team of lawyers helped OJ Simpson get away with murder. Simpson was accused of killing his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman. Though there was a large amount of highly incriminating evidence, OJ walked away with a not guilty verdict, thanks in large part to the work of his legal team.
Kim Kardashian says she remembers her father working on the case when she was a kid. She says the whole legal team would come over to her house to prep for the trial. She remembers looking through the books and evidence. She says she was “really nosy about the forensics.”
Kim Kardashian hopes to sit for the bar in 2022
Kardashian has a long road ahead of her. She is currently one-fourth of the way through her required internship. After completing her internship, she must still sit for and pass the California State Bar. The bar consists of multiple choice questions and an essay portion and is considered very difficult to pass.
If she does pass the bar, she will still face a few hurdles. It is unlikely that Kardashian will want to work for a private law firm, and instead will choose to work with private clients. However, if she does choose to pursue working at a law firm, employers may be reluctant to hire her because of her lack of schooling. If she plans to go to trial, she must also be granted permission by each circuit court she wishes to argue in.
