National Mandy Moore celebrates reaching Mount Everest base camp CNN 8:18 AM, May 29, 2019 - The Denver Channel

(CNN) — Mandy Moore posted about her and her friends hiking to Mount Everest's base camp around the time an American lawyer became the 11th person to die during the climbing season.

In a long posting on her official Instagram account Monday the "This Is Us" star shared several photos of herself and a group of friends making to the camp. The group was accompanied by their guide, Melissa Reid, who Moore lauded in her post for being the first American woman to ascend and descend Everest without oxygen .

"There is so much magic in these mountains," Moore wrote in the caption. "They represent adventure in the grandest form and in a language all their own."

On Monday Christopher John Kulish, 62, died after reaching the top of Everest on the Nepalese side of the mountain in the morning, Meera Acharya, the Director of Nepal's Tourism Department told CNN.

There has been a great deal of attention paid to the area lately given both the deaths and the overcrowding at high altitude.

During the week beginning May 20, crowds of climbers became stuck in a queue to the summit, above the mountain's highest camp at 8,000 meters (26,247 feet). The summit of Mount Everest is 8,848 meters (29,029 feet) high.

Moore wrote that "Traversing this terrain has its challenges."

"Breathing at altitude, for instance, is not easy," she said. "One of the greatest gifts/lessons that Melissa simultaneously bestowed on us during this trek was the fine art of pressure breathing. It makes all the difference as you climb higher."

On Wednesday Moore posted some additional photos and reflected on what the trek meant to her.

"It's easy to daydream and make big plans when you're down at sea level but it's a much taller order to do it while in the grips of something truly difficult. Message received," she wrote.

"I dug deep while in the midst of all of those pressure breaths and made a mental list of things that scared me but I was anxious to tackle. Now that I'm back on solid ground, I can't wait to home and get to it."

Jenelle Evans' Husband David Eason Screams 'You Could Die Right Now' - TMZ

David Eason, Jenelle Evans 'You Could Die Right Now' ... 'You're a F***ing Piece of S***'

5/29/2019 6:49 AM PDT

Jenelle Evans has lost custody of her kids, largely because her husband, David Eason, has created an abusive environment at home ... and this video seems to be evidence of that.

We're told the video was shot sometime this year at the family's North Carolina home. You hear a baby in the background as David launches, saying, "You could die right now for all I give a f***. You're a f***ing piece of s**t. You're the biggest f***ing piece of s*** I know."

You then see him flip off the camera operator and walk away.

From all we know, hardly anyone was allowed in the family home, and it appears Jenelle is behind the camera and the comments are directed at her.

As we reported, the judge in the custody case has stripped Jenelle and David of custody for the time being, after concluding David and Jenelle have put the kids at risk.

We're told one of the things that came out during the hearing was that 4-year-old Kaiser was terrified to go to David and Jenelle's home because he was terrified of David and had been mistreated by him.

One source said squarely, "It's all David's fault."

Jenelle has steadfastly stood behind David, and now they must attend parenting classes, counseling and weekly drug testing before there's any hope of them regaining custody.

The video is a glimpse into what appears to be a very turbulent home life.

Kit Harington checks into wellness retreat after 'Game of Thrones' finale - CNN

"Kit has decided to utilize this break in his schedule as an opportunity to spend some time at a wellness retreat to work on some personal issues," a representative for the actor told the Reuters news agency.
Harington's representatives in London declined to comment to CNN.
Harington, who played Jon Snow throughout the show's eight-year run, has spoken openly in the past about his struggles dealing with fame, and the emotional adjustment he was forced to make after the conclusion of the hit series.
In a behind-the-scenes documentary that aired on HBO Sunday -- one week after the show's finale -- the British actor was seen reacting emotionally as he read the script of the show's final episode for the first time, and tearfully saying goodbye to the crew.
Kit Harington sought therapy after Jon Snow's death and resurrection
The 32-year-old Harington told Variety earlier this year that he sought therapy in his 20s. "I felt I had to feel that I was the most fortunate person in the world, when actually, I felt very vulnerable," he said.
And describing the last day of shooting on the series, the star said in a separate interview to Esquire: "My final day of shooting, I felt fine . . . I felt fine . . . I felt fine. . . Then I went to do my last shots and started hyperventilating a bit."
"Then they called, 'Wrap!' And I just f---ing broke down. It was this onslaught of relief and grief about not being able to do this again," he added.
Harington is married to "Game of Thrones" co-star Rose Leslie, with whom he tied the knot in Aberdeen, Scotland last year.
The show's final season was met with mixed reviews but drew huge ratings for HBO, which is owned by CNN's parent company. Its last episode was seen by 19.3 million viewers, setting a record for the series.

Lamar Odom Says He Threatened to Kill Khloe Kardashian During Their Marriage - TooFab

In a shocking revelation from his new memoir, "Darkness to Light," Lamar Odom confessed he once threatened to kill Khloe Kardashian during one of his drug-fueled rages.

The former basketball star and ex-husband to Khloe opened up about his book on "Good Morning America" on Tuesday, where he was asked about one particularly troubling incident he wrote about from their marriage.

In the book, he said Khloe became "concerned" after he wouldn't come out of his "man cave." Instead of calling the police, she called one of his friends and said he was "acting crazy" and "hallucinating." High on coke and ecstasy, Odom was beyond paranoid, and starting making holes in the walls, believing there were microphones hidden.

When Khloe eventually came down again and knocked on the door, Odom said, "I opened it suddenly and grabbed her forcefully by the shoulders, which frightened her." He screamed at her, "You trying to embarrass me in front of my friends? I'll f--king kill you! You don't know what I'm capable of!"

He went on to call the incident a "new low in our relationship" and "the most regrettable moment in a series of regrettable moments."

"I'm pretty sure she had to be scared at that point in time," he said on GMA. "I'm thinking about it now, like, I couldn't believe how I was treating that queen like that."

When asked if he ever apologized to Khloe, he said, "I don't think I have" and added he owes both "her and her family an apology. Big time."

Looking back, Lamar said he "loved" the limelight that came with being married to the reality TV star, which led to their own spinoff show, "Khloe and Lamar."

"A red carpet is rolled out for you everywhere you go. What's not to love about that?" he explained. "And at that time, when we shot our show, I was playing really good basketball."

At the same time, however, he was also deep in drugs and cheating on his wife. "When you're married, you don't want your wife to know that you're sniffing coke and having sex with other women," he added.

In 2015, Odom was hospitalized after overdosing at the Love Ranch brothel in Nevada following a four-day bender. "I was thinking about trying to go have fun," he recalled, "I wasn't thinking, being selfish."

He went to rehab, but admitted that he still smokes marijuana regularly, "just to help with some anxiety." Adding that he smoked the day before the GMA interview, Odom said, "it helps cool me down."

"Everybody's path, in rehab and after rehab is going to be different," he explained. "What's gonna be good for you, might not be good for me."

His book, "Darkness to Light," is out now.
