Kylie Jenner's split from Travis Scott wasn't the result of a cheating scandal or a blowup fight ... they were simply done in by a harsh dose of reality.
Sources close to the ex-couple tell TMZ ... their decision to break things off came weeks ago, following a very long honeymoon phase that was full of love, touring, going on vacations and of course ... raising their daughter, Stormi, together.
We're told after Travis' "Astroworld" tour wrapped up and the two got back from Kylie's lavish bday getaway, everything slowed down and they were confronted by the grind of normal life ... and things felt different between them.
Simply put ... our sources say they fell out of love.

We're told Kylie and Travis tried to work it out for awhile -- including around the time she accompanied him to his 'Look Mom I Can Fly' documentary premiere in Santa Monica on Aug. 27 -- but couldn't make it happen.
However, as we told you ... the couple calling it quits -- either temporarily or for good -- doesn't mean they'll be running to their lawyers to work out a custody arrangement for Stormi. That's not the MO for the Kardashian/Jenner sisters.
Also worth noting -- Kylie and Trav survived a rough patch before, earlier this year when she accused him of cheating ... which he denied.
Things look a little more grim this time though -- Kylie just attended the Biebers' wedding without him and appeared to really enjoy herself.
Travis, meanwhile, has a new single coming out Friday, but we're told the timing of the breakup news is simply a coincidence ... this is not some sort of stunt.
Introducing Wednesday’s New York Film Festival screening of Joker, director Todd Phillips acknowledged the strong reactions to the film, which finally opens commercially this weekend. “There’s been a lot said about this movie – a lot said by me, too. I’ve learned,” the director told the audience. “I’m really excited that you’re here and we can finally let the movie speak for itself.”
Joker has become a lightning rod at the same time it has accumulated a wealth of initial critical praise and buzz, plus the Golden Lion at last month’s Venice Film Festival. Police in New York and other cities are on alert for this weekend’s opening, given the film’s ties to Christopher Nolan’s Batman films, one of which was screening at a theater in Colorado that was the site of a mass shooting. Phillips has faced backlash from his recent comments that he shifted to making dramas because “woke culture” has ruined comedy, the genre where he broke out with hits like Old School and The Hangover.
After the film screened at Alice Tully Hall, Phillips, star Joaquin Phoenix, producer Emma Tillinger Koskoff, production designer Mark Freidberg and D.P. Lawrence Sher shared thoughts in a Q&A session. Phillips pushed back on criticism of Joker’s depiction of violence. Some commentators have expressed anxiety over potential copycat behavior, with life imitating the film’s spasms of mob violence unleashed by a loner with a gun – a potent setup in 2019. Phillips said the filmmakers had sought to strip away the usual layers of fantasy and exaggeration of the comic book genre and deliver a character study, albeit one of a homicidal sociopath. Their models were films like Mean Streets, Dog Day Afternoon and One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, he said.
“That’s the surprising thing to me,” Phillips said. “I thought, isn’t that a good thing, to put real-world implications on violence? Isn’t it a good thing to take away the cartoon element about violence that we’ve become so immune to? I was a little surprised when it turns into that direction, that it’s irresponsible. Because, to me, it’s very responsible to make it feel real and make it have weight and implications.”
Phoenix, who has generally been on his best behavior during the initial stage of what is apt to be a long Oscar campaign for his widely hailed lead turn, engaged only sporadically with the discussion. He traded inscrutable inside jokes with the others onstage and at one point repeatedly told moderator Eugene Hernandez, deputy director of the Film Society of Lincoln Center, that he couldn’t understand the question he was asking. (It was a real curveball, all right, about how he and Phillips started creating the Arthur Fleck/Joker character.)
After a series of awkward pauses, Phillips drew nervous laughter by joking to the crowd, “You’re getting a real look at what it’s like” to hold a conversation with Phoenix.
At times during the 30-minute Q&A, though, the actor focused enough to shed a bit of light on his approach. He and Phillips began by analyzing and discussing videos of people who have disorders that prompt them to laugh compulsively and at inappropriate times. “Obviously, the Joker laugh is iconic,” Phoenix said. “I thought it was a really smart way of approaching that laugh.”
Kylie and Jaden used to allegedly date back in 2013 and (briefly) in 2015, FYI!
So Kylie Jenner's been publicly "single" for less than 24 hours and people are already out here assuming she's moved on from her relationship with Travis Scott to Jaden Smith. And if you're currently like, EXCUSE ME WHAT (understandable, I, too, am shook), here's a little background.
This weekend, Kylie attended the South Carolina wedding of Hailey Baldwin and Justin Bieber—and while initial reports claimed Travis went with her, apparently she was at the event solo. And by that I mean she was there with a group of friends—including Jaden.
And here's the thing: Kylie and Jaden were seen dancing in a picture obtained by TMZ, and in said picture Jaden appears to be casually touching Kylie's butt. And now? Now Twitter is out here spiraling.
Plus, don't forget that Kylie and Jaden used to date in 2013 before she hooked up with Tyga—and there were even reports that Jaden was the reason Kylie and Tyga split in 2015. “Kylie and Jaden have been hanging out lately and it made Tyga suspicious,” a source told E! News. “He thought something might be going on. So that was one issue.”
HOWEVER, in their initial report about Kylie and Travis' breakup TMZ said this in regards to the Jaden butt-grabbing pic: "we're told there's nothing to that—they're just friends and have been for years."
Uh-huh. Kay. In other news, Travis has reportedly moved out of Kylie's home so that they can have some space from each other, but don't stress—he's still seeing their daughter Stormi. "Travis has been staying at his house in Beverly Hills and Kylie has been allowing him to see Stormi," a source told E! News. "She would never take that away from him."
The Sussex Instagram account has been the subject of controversy before. But recently, they shared a quote from a figure that’s been problematic to the feminist community. Meghan Markle has always been a staunch supporter of feminism, but now the public is confused about her stance. How could she quote a person with such antiquated ideas about women? The public figure Prince Harry and Markle choose to quote and the problems it’s caused might surprise you.
The Sussexes quoted the Dalai Lama on their Instagram
Earlier this month, the Sussexes shared a Dalai Lama quote on their official Instagram account. The quote read: “I believe that at every level of society — familial, tribal, national and international — the key to a happier and most successful world is the growth of compassion.”
This isn’t the only time Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan have shown support for the Buddhist leader. At their wedding in 2018, the couple wanted the Dalai Lama to deliver the sermon. However, the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, who married them, denied their request because the Dalai Lama isn’t Christian. Instead, they settled on American Bishop Michael Curry.
According to the Daily Mail, Markle, who is a known yoga devotee, is fond of a Dalai Lama quote: “Don’t let the behavior of others destroy your inner peace.” And since marrying Markle, Prince Harry revealed that he’s fond of meditation, one of the key components of the Buddhist religion.
The Dalai Lama is often held up as a hero to those who advocate for social justice. This is similar to Markle’s reputation: She is sometimes referred to by critics as the “Woke Duchess” because of her fondness for social justice issues.
For example, when Markle acted as the guest editor for the September issue of Vogue, she toed the line royal tradition by pushing issues like feminism and global warming. Markle was accused of “wading into politics by promoting Trump-hating celebs” in her “left-wing” edition of Vogue. But that’s not the only reason the Dalai Lama has become a problem for the Duchess of Sussex.
The Dalai Lama thinks a female successor would need to be ‘attractive’
In 2015, the Dalai Lama made comments that surprised and angered feminists. He stated that if he was to have a female successor, she would need to be “very attractive” or she would be of “not much use.”
Recently, a BBC reporter challenged him on that comment, but the Dalai Lama stuck to his original statement. “If a female Dalai Lama comes, she should be more attractive,” he said while laughing.
According to the Dalai Lama, in Buddhist literature, both inner and outer beauty matter. But he stressed that equality is still important, and stated that he supports both women’s right and equal pay in the workforce.
Markle has long considered herself a feminist. As a child, she fought against sexist advertising by Procter & Gamble. A TV commercial for Ivory soap caught her attention at the age of 11 when she thought it implied that only women should do the dishes. She wrote letters expressing her concern, and a few months later, the advertisements were changed to be more gender-inclusive.
She continues to promote feminism today with charities like Smart Works, which provides clothing to women for job interviews. Considering that the duchess is such a stout feminist, how can she continue to support the Dalai Lama after his comments implying that a woman is not valuable unless she’s beautiful?
Is Meghan Markle still a feminist after supporting the Dalai Lama?
Markle hasn’t responded to the Dalai Lama’s comments about women, so we’re not sure of her thoughts on the matter, or if she’s even aware of the issue. But others have found even more reasons to criticize Markle usage of the quote.
Piers Morgan, a long-time critic of Markle, called her a hypocrite for choosing the quote which focused on compassion. According to Morgan, Markle needs to focus on her own house first before lecturing others on compassion. Meaning, she should reach out to her estranged family and friends to offer them compassion before telling the rest of the world what to do.
Others have found reasons to criticize Markle’s support of feminism altogether. Pushing the idea of feminism on the public, while in a role she obtained purely by marriage to a man who earned his position from birth, could be considered hypocritical. Markle considers herself a feminist, but many disagree with this categorization because of her role.
Unfortunately, as hard as Markle tries, almost everything she does is taken badly by the public. Although, her main problem seems to be her need to lecture and push political agendas in the first place. When the public pays for your lifestyle, it’s never a good idea to try to force ideas or lecture the people.
Joker has caused quite a stir for making the legendary Batman villain the protagonist of his own movie. Some have expressed worry that the film glamorizes a character lashing out violently against an unforgiving world. In an age when killers commit mass shootings and justify themselves with manifestos, that would be an irresponsible message.
Joker is not irresponsible in its message. While Joker is intensely frank about the circumstances that can lead social outcasts to commit violence, its message is clearly that we should take better care of people in need before it gets that far.
The Joker wasn’t born in a vacuum
Arthur Fleck (Joaquin Phoenix) is a sign twirling storefront clown next to a porno theater circa 1981, judging by the titles on the marquees of other legitimate cinemas. He sees a government social worker and has a disorder where he laughs uncontrollably. Gotham City seems to be a world without compassion for people like Arthur, which is not too dissimilar from the real world of the early ‘80s and even today.
It’s not to say that compassion could prevent violence altogether, but it couldn’t make the world any worse. Joker has empathy for Arthur. The film understands the circumstances that can create a Joker. Arthur slips through the system due to budget cuts, so now he’s off his medication too.
If a comic book movie can raise awareness for the negligence of mental illness, then great. Have incidents of texting and driving declined since Doctor Strange? Someone should study how these movies are saving society.
The filmmakers led by director Todd Phillips create an intense descent into Arthur’s madness. He worships talk show host Murray Franklin (Robert DeNiro) and fantasizes about Murray being his father figure. Arthur’s laughing becomes exhausting to witness. Imagine actually having that condition. Phoenix does the creepiest dance since Buffalo Bill.
This Joker didn’t dance with the devil by the pale moonlight
This is one possible Joker origin. There have been others where he’s just a violent anarchist. There are others where he’s named Jack Napier or Jeremiah Valeska too.
Joker makes interesting use of Batman backstory. There are things we always see from Bruce Wayne’s point of view. From the outside they could have very different meanings. Also see if you catch the Due Date Easter Egg. That sets Due Date in the DC Universe, although it takes place 30 years after Joker.
It’s remarkable to see a comic book movie that’s not an action movie. And don’t say Ghost World or American Splendor. You know what I mean. Joker is a Batman adjacent movie that’s total character drama. It would be great to see this Joker in a Batman movie.
Joker looks like a film from the ‘70s. The tint is yellowish like film stock used to look, and Gotham City looks like a pre-Giuliani New York. That seems like a much longer ago but it was only in the mid-’90s that New York became more touristy. Joker’s Gotham City looks like the New York that drove Travis Bickle to violence too.
The last laugh
Joker is a cautionary tale. It’s saying, “Don’t create Jokers. They won’t just go away if you ignore them.” There are surely viewers who misread it, just like there are soldiers who cheer Apocalypse Now and Full Metal Jacket.
The movie was never going to help those viewers anyway. Joker is for the people standing on the sidelines acting like there’s nothing they can do about it. We can and if we don’t, this could happen.
If that’s too deep for you, it’s still a gripping drama about a character unraveling. It’s the kind of daring, intense movie that only sneaks through the studio system anymore when it’s attached to a major franchise like a comic book, so I celebrate Joker.
A few reddit users discovered the Yandhi snippets on Apple’s iTunes Store, which can be seen below. YANDHI was axed earlier this year, however fans will be able to listen to a few of the album’s singles, which have now been formatted as ringtones. Tracks titled “Alien,” “We’ll Find a Way,” and “New Body” carrying the album’s MiniDisc album art are listed alongside retail prices of $1.29 USD.

Following Justin Bieber and Hailey Bieber's second wedding ceremony in South Carolina Monday night, the groom took to Instagram to share a snap of his one less lonely girl.
"My bride is [fire emoji]," the groom captioned a series of shots from the reception's photobooth, which featured their "The Biebers" logo and wedding date. In the first black and white photo, the stunning bride—her hair is tied back into a sleek bun—is seen pulling at her love's bow tie while he delicately locks lips with her. Come the second picture, the newlyweds are goofing off for the camera, with Hailey sticking out her tongue while Justin puts on a confused face.
As E! previously reported, the duo's extravagant affair in the Somerset Chapel was planned by celeb event designer Mindy Weiss. Hailey's sister Alaia Baldwin and her cousin Ireland Baldwin served as bridesmaids. Of course, her dad Stephen Baldwin and uncle Alec Baldwin were in attendance as well as Justin's parents Pattie Mallette and Jeremey Bieber.
Ahead of the big day, the "Love Yourself" singer and supermodel gathered their closest family and friends together for an intimate rehearsal dinner.
On Sunday, guests arrived via water taxi to the Palmetto property, where "there were many string lights hanging and lit candles," a source told E! News. "The dècor was very chic and white. Everyone cheered for them and they looked really happy to see everyone. Hailey and Justin both could not stop smiling."
Later in the evening, at the after-party, they were treated to a special screening of The Notebook. Added an insider, "The party was in the bowling and game room. Everyone was having a really fun time."
At this time last year, Justin and Hailey first became husband and wife during a courthouse ceremony. However, this time around, the experience is more meaningful to the couple. "They both feel it is important to have a religious ceremony before God," a source previously shared of their second wedding. "After a year, their love has grown even more, so it's exciting to restate their vows."
"They understand what it takes to be married and what goes into it," continued the insider. "Their vows are extremely meaningful."
After all, this past year has certainly showed them the power of their love.
"It's always going to be hard," Hailey told Vogue of married life. "You don't wake up every day saying, 'I'm absolutely so in love and you are perfect.' That's not what being married is. But there's something beautiful about it anyway—about wanting to fight for something, commit to building with someone. We're really young, and that's a scary aspect. We're going to change a lot. But we're committed to growing together and supporting each other in those changes."
