Lizzie McGuire is going from 13 to 30 in a reboot starring Hilary Duff - CNN

That's right, Lizzie McGuire is the next show to get a reboot.
Hilary Duff posted the news on her Instagram page Friday night that she would revive her role as Lizzie McGuire along with a video compilation of moments from the original Disney Channel show.
When the world met Lizzie (and her sassy, animated inner voice), she was 13 years old. But when we see her next, she will be in her 30s, Duff said.
The series will be coming to the new streaming service Disney+, the company announced on their Twitter page.
Fans are thrilled to see what happens when Duff becomes a show repeater.
Some are even saying the reprisal makes paying a new subscription fee worth it.
The service is set to be released in the United States on November 12. That same day it will also be launched in Canada and the Netherlands, and a week later it will be available in Australia and New Zealand.
In the US, Disney+ will cost $6.99 per month, and will cost about the same elsewhere when adjusted for exchange rates.
Lady and the Tramp, an original Star Wars series and several Marvel series have also been announced to air on Disney+.

Spider-Man: Far From Home Writers to Return for Tom Holland-Led Sequel - Collider.com

spider-man-far-from-home-sequel-writers

Sony is bringing back Spider-Man: Far From Home scribes Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers to write the next Spider-Man movie, which is expected to star Tom Holland despite all the drama surrounding the character this past week.

It’s unclear whether Jon Watts will return to direct Spider-Man 3, even though Far From Home broke the billion-dollar mark at the box office en route to becoming Sony’s highest grossing movie of all time. It was Kevin Feige who brought Watts into the Marvel fold on the heels of his low-budget indie thriller Cop Car, and Deadline reports that Marvel is eager to hang on to the filmmaker in the wake of its split from Sony. Could we see Watts spurn the Spidey franchise to take a plum directing gig at Marvel? It’s certainly within the realm of possibility.

Marvel and Sony aren’t the only ones who will be courting Watts for their tentpoles, as you can bet that Universal, Paramount and Warner Bros. would love to be in business with the director, not to mention the streaming services that would kill to slap “From the Director of Spider-Man: Far From Home” in front of one of their projects. So Watts is in an enviable position right now, and it’ll be interesting to see how his career unfolds from here.

I still don’t believe that the dust has settled here, as Disney and Sony seem to be openly negotiating in the press. We’ve seen reports of a 50-50 co-financing arrangement (Deadline) come down to 30% for Disney (THR) and eventually, as high as 25% (Variety). Deadline changed its tune Friday, reporting that Disney would settle for 25%, and under that arrangement, it would also pick up 25% of the tab — but only for movies that involve Marvel and Feige, who the trade claims would gladly make time in his busy schedule to work on the Spider-Man movies, which are near and dear to his heart.

The two sides aren’t in any rush to figure things out, as Marvel has plenty of top-notch IP to tide itself over with, so Spidey’s absence in the MCU won’t be felt for several years. Here’s hoping cooler heads prevail and both sides return to the negotiating table, because otherwise, it’s a lose-lose for them, and most importantly, for Spider-Man fans.

Jon Favreau ‘Holding Out Hope’ for Spider-Man to Remain in the MCU - Variety

Spider-Man’s potential exit from the Marvel Cinematic Universe could throw a wrench in Happy and Aunt May’s relationship, but Jon Favreau is “optimistic” the love affair will continue amid Sony’s dispute with Disney.

“You never know what’s going to happen. I’m holding out hope and being optimistic that this isn’t the final chapter of the story between those characters,” Favreau told Variety‘s Angelique Jackson at Disney’s biennial D23 Expo in Anaheim, Calif.

Sony, which holds the licensing rights to Spider-Man, announced Wednesday that it would no longer partner with Disney and Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige on the superhero movies. The studio released the wildly successful “Spider-Man: Homecoming” and this year’s “Spider-Man: Far From Home” under the partnership, and lent the character to Marvel’s “Captain America: Civil War,” “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Avengers: Endgame.” Unless Sony and Disney can reconcile, however, Spider-Man will no longer be in the MCU.

Despite the recent break-up, brief footage of Spider-Man slinging webs made it into the sizzle reel for the opening of the D23 Legends panel, which honored Favreau.

Favreau’s character Happy was featured prominently in “Spider-Man: Far From Home,” and struck up a romantic relationship with Marisa Tomei’s Aunt May. “Aunt May and Happy were quite a couple,” Favreau reminisced at D23. “As an actor, I had so much fun working with Marisa [Tomei] and Tom Holland.”

Top U.S. publishers sue Amazon's Audible for copyright infringement - Reuters

(Reuters) - Amazon.com Inc’s (AMZN.O) Audible was sued by some of the top U.S. publishers for copyright infringement on Friday, aiming to block a planned rollout of a feature called ‘Audible Captions’ that shows the text on screen as a book is narrated.

The lawsuit was filed by seven members of the Association of American Publishers (AAP), including HarperCollins Publishers, Penguin Random House, Hachette Book Group, Simon & Schuster, and Macmillan Publishers.

“Essentially Audible wants to provide the text as well as the sound of books without the authorization of copyright holders, despite only having the right to sell audiobooks,” AAP said in a statement.

The lawsuit was filed in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.

Audible did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Queen Elizabeth 'Politely But Firmly Suggested' Where Harry and Meghan Should Live - Showbiz Cheat Sheet

While Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are certainly having their fair share of problems within the press, it is thought that within the royal family, the young couple is much beloved. Markle has grown especially close to Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Harry’s grandmother, and has been seen on many occasions sharing a giggle or a joke with the much-respected monarch.

However, even the queen prefers to have some boundaries in place when it comes to sharing her space. Read on to learn where Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were originally considering setting up residence.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle wanted to live in Windsor Castle

When Prince Harry and Meghan Markle got engaged in late 2017, the whole world became even more invested in their journey together. Thousands tuned in to the broadcast of their royal wedding in May 2018, with the world’s media tuned in to the exciting event, poring over every detail, from Markle’s simple, classic wedding dress to the sweet image of Prince Charles walking her down the aisle.

After the wedding bells stopped ringing and real life started anew, one of the first things that the royal couple had to figure out was where they would live.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle apparently originally wanted to live in Windsor Castle. The glamorous palace is where the couple got married and where Queen Elizabeth II spends much of her time on weekends and for various business engagements.

Still, the report reveals that when the couple brought up the idea to the queen, she “politely but firmly” suggested an alternate living arrangement.

It could have been that Queen Elizabeth II believed that Windsor Castle wasn’t a suitable space for a newly-married couple or it could have been the fact that she wanted them to have their own privacy, but either way, her suggestion turned out to be absolutely perfect.

Where do Prince Harry and Meghan Markle live now?

The residence that Queen Elizabeth II suggested for her grandson and his new wife was none other than Frogmore Cottage, a more private estate on the grounds of Windsor Castle.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle accepted her suggestion and got to work renovating the property, ultimately spending millions of dollars getting it up to their exacting standards.

Furthermore, just prior to the arrival of baby Archie Harrison in May 2019, Markle and Prince Harry ordered even more work done to their new home, including setting up a nursery fit for royalty. Some of the updates that they did for their baby son’s nursery reportedly included eco-friendly paint, top-grade cameras, security windows, and the very best stereo system that money could buy.

All in all, it was the perfect place for baby Archie Harrison to come home to.

Could fans get a look inside Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s home?

While the interiors of royal residences have traditionally been kept very private, fans might get a small peek at Frogmore Cottage when the September issue of British Vogue, Forces for Change, becomes available for readers around the world.

Reportedly, Markle did a small photo shoot on the grounds of Frogmore Cottage, allowing royal watchers unprecedented access into their private accommodations.

Frogmore Cottage seems like the perfect home for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, granting them a sense of privacy while still keeping them close to the rest of the palace.

Whether or not it turns out to be their permanent home remains to be seen, but for now, the young family is enjoying their independence while establishing their own special nest.

NASA, Rolling Stones, Robert Downey Jr. secret is out: They named a rock - CNET

This NASA animation shows the InSight lander pushing Rolling Stones Rock.

NASA/JPL-Caltech

Some day a long time from now, an astronaut tour guide may step out onto the dusty surface of the Red Planet, point to a small stone just beyond NASA's silent InSight lander and announce, "And that, my friends, is Rolling Stones Rock."

Let's just let that sink in. There is now a rock on Mars that's known as "Rolling Stones Rock."

Forget Tumbling Dice. We've got a tumbling Mars rock.

NASA/JPL-Caltech

The Stones took to the stage in Pasedena, California on Thursday night for the band's No Filter tour. The Rose Bowl venue is close to NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory.

Somehow Robert Downey Jr. got entangled in all of this. The Iron Man actor made the Mars rock announcement before the band played.

It all started with a mysterious teaser video from Downey earlier on Thursday. "This may be the most exciting thing I've ever done," Downey said, which may be the overstatement of the year.

It's not just any old Mars rock. NASA's InSight lander touched down on the planet in November 2018. The machine's thrusters disturbed the golf ball-sized rock, sending it rolling 3 feet (1 meter) across the ground.

"It's the farthest NASA has seen a rock roll while landing a spacecraft on another planet," the space agency said in a release on Thursday. An image of the rock shows the trail it left behind on the dusty ground.

"I've seen a lot of Mars rocks over my career," said NASA geologist Matt Golombek. "This one probably won't be in a lot of scientific papers, but it's definitely one of the coolest."

Downey agrees. "Sometimes the world does seriously cool stuff," he tweeted after the reveal.

NASA shared a hype video showing an animation of InSight landing on Mars set to the tune of the Stones' It's Only Rock 'N' Roll (But I Like It).

The Rolling Stones Rock name is informal, but NASA says it will appear on working maps of the planet.

Perhaps this will inspire Mick Jagger and Keith Richards to rework some of their classic songs, like If You Can't Mars Rock Me, Street Fighting Martian or Paint It Red (Planet).

'Queer Eye' star Karamo Brown breaks silence on 'DWTS' Sean Spicer controversy - Fox News

Queer Eye” star and future “Dancing With The Stars” contestant Karamo Brown fired back at critics who called him out for appearing on the competition series with former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer.

ABC announced Wednesday that Brown and Spicer will compete on Season 28 of “DWTS” alongside Christie Brinkley, "The BacheloretteHannah Browncountry singer Lauren Alaina, "Dawson's Creek" star James Van Der BeekNFL legend Ray Lewis, former Fifth Harmony singer Ally Brooke, NBA star and Khloe Kardashian ex-husband Lamar Odom, "Kenan and Kel" star Kel Mitchell, former Supremes singer Mary Wilson and "The Office" star Kate Flannery.

When one Twitter user lamented Brown allowing his celebrity to be used in connection with anything having to do with the Trump administration, the 38-year-old former “Real World” star clapped back.

SEAN SPICER DISMISSES BIDEN'S CLAIM TRUMP 'FANS FLAMES' OF WHITE SUPREMACY

“First, I have no say who is on the cast and didn’t find out till this morning that he is on!” Brown responded. “But I’ll tell you this... I’m excited to sit down w/ him and engage in a respectful conversation. Only way things get better is if we try to educate those who have different POV than us.”

According to Entertainment Tonight, Brown got a little more heated with another critic in a since-deleted tweet.

“I honestly can’t stand people like you who post things like this and you reposted some bs about a comment Jonathan [Van Ness] said… just to flame the fire and get a reaction,” he said, referencing a comment made by his “Queer Eye” costar previously made about Mitt Romney.

“We fight harder than your a-- ever has for people of color and members of the LGBTQIA community,” Brown added.

Brown isn’t the only one to take a shot at Spicer’s casting on “DWTS.” The show’s host, Tom Bergeron, took to social media on Wednesday to post a lengthy statement explaining his feelings about which "celebrities" will be featured on Season 28 of the hit reality competition series. He specifically zeroed in on Spicer.

SPICER HITS BACK AT CRITICS PROTESTING HIS CASTING ON 'DANCING WITH THE STARS'

Bergeron wrote how he hoped the new season “would be a joyful respite from our exhausting political climate and free of inevitably divisive bookings from ANY party affiliations.”

He described how he met with "DWTS" new executive producer, Andrew Llinares, to make his feelings known and he left their lunch "convinced we were in agreement."

“Subsequently (and rather obviously),” Bergeron wrote, “a decision was made to, as we often say in Hollywood, ‘go in a different direction.'”

"We can all agree to disagree, as we do now, but ultimately it's their call," he continued. "I'll leave it to them to answer any further questions about those decisions."

Bergeron made a pledge to the show's fans: "For me, as host, I always gaze into the camera's lens and imagine you on the other side, looking for a two-hour escape from whatever life hassles you've been wrestling with. That's a connection and a responsibility which I take very seriously, even if I occasionally season it with dad jokes."

In response to Bergeron's post, Llinares told Fox News in a statement on Wednesday: "We’ve got a great and diverse cast. We are excited about the season."
